Lyrebird Education Chinese Education Mini Fellowship 2026

Lyrebird Education is delighted to launch the Chinese Education Mini Fellowship 2026, a small-scale funding initiative designed to support early-career scholars and educators working in Chinese language and cultural education, especially within tertiary and higher education institutions.


This fellowship aims to encourage professional development and academic exchange by providing financial assistance for participation in professional conferences, seminars, and educational activities related to Chinese teaching and culture.

Eligibilities:

  • Early-career educators or researchers engaged in Chinese language or cultural education;
  • Priority will be given to applicants from universities or higher education institutions.
  • Applicants should have a clear plan for professional development or academic participation.

Funding Purpose:

Funding is provided to cover conference registration fees and transportation costs (e.g., train or airfare) directly related to participation in professional events. Accommodation and incidental expenses are not covered.

Fellowship Period:

Valid for activities undertaken in 2026.

Application Deadline:

30 June 2026 (Applications may close earlier depending on fund availability.)

How to Apply:

  Please email your application to birdie@lyrebird.org, including:

  • A brief project description.
  • Purpose of funding and activity details.
  • Estimated budget or amount requested (Final funding amounts will be determined by Lyrebird Education according to the selection process).

Selection Process:

All applications will be reviewed based on their relevance, clarity, and feasibility. Funding is competitive and not guaranteed upon application submission.
